A static site is just files, so a form on it has nowhere to send its data. Hand-written HTML, static site generators and file-only hosts all share this gap.
Letterbox hosts the contact form page for you and emails you each message. Your site only needs a link.
Set it up
-

Sign up for free, add your email address as a recipient and create a contact form.

https://ltrbx.contact/your-form-id -
Add it to your site
Add a link or button wherever visitors look for contact details:
HTML <a href="https://ltrbx.contact/your-form-id">Contact us</a>Or embed the form in a page. Adjust the height to suit your layout:
HTML <iframe src="https://ltrbx.contact/your-form-id" title="Contact form" width="100%" height="700" style="border: 0" loading="lazy"></iframe>This works on any host that serves HTML, including GitHub Pages, Netlify, Cloudflare Pages, Amazon S3 and shared web hosting.
-

Good to know
- Your email address never appears in your site's code. Visitors only see the form.
- Spam filtering is built in on every tier.
- Letterbox hosts the form page. It does not yet accept submissions from form markup on your own pages, and file attachments are not supported.
- The Free tier includes 2 forms, 1 recipient and 5 messages a week. Compare plans
