Illegal use of service
  • You may not use Letterbox for any illegal or unauthorised purpose

Abuse or unintended use of service
  • You will not use Letterbox in a fashion that is detrimental to Letterbox's reputation, security, operation or other users
  • You will not try to hack, probe, scan or test the security of Letterbox, without prior permission (readily given if asked)
  • You will not try to circumvent membership restrictions
  • We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account if we suspect abuse or unintended use of the service
  • We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time for any other reason
  • However we will detail why and give you a chance to rectify the situation
Sending unsolicited emails
  • Letterbox is not intended to be used for sending any form of spam or unsolicited emails
  • Including any bulk emails, e.g. newsletters or marketing emails
  • Never send any chain letters or pyramid schemes
Receiving spam and unsolicited emails
  • We try to minimise spam and unsolicited emails
  • But we cannot guarantee that you will not receive any spam or unsolicited emails
  • Unfortunately spam is ubiquitous on the internet and impossible to stop completely
  • It is a constant evolving battle to minimise spam and unsolicited emails
  • By using Letterbox you agree that you may occassionally receive a minor amount of spam and unsolicited emails
  • If you receive a large amount of spam and unsolicited emails please contact us
Receiving abuse and targeted unwanted emails
  • As Letterbox is a contact form service open to anyone
  • You may receive abuse and targeted unwanted emails
  • Please follow the Abuse guidelines on the Help & Support page
  • And please contact us directly if you need further assistance
Message delivery and service availability
  • Letterbox is not intended to be used for any critical or time sensitive messages
  • Letterbox is not an instant message delivery
  • Most messages are delivered witing a few minutes but some may take longer
  • Service uptime and availability is not guaranteed but we strive to be up 99% of the time
  • A detailed delivery and service availability policy will be available soon
  • Business and Enterprise tier members will have seperate SLA agreements covering many service aspects
Privacy
  • We try to store as little information as possible about you, your forms and your messages
  • But some basics are kept for operational, security, billing and legal reasons
  • Some data are retained in backups and logs for a limited time
  • We do not sell or share your information with any third parties
  • Except data required for billing and legal reasons
  • And email address required for sending messages via 3rd party email providers
  • We do not use your information for any marketing purposes

  • Including in detail how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information
  • And how we adhere to GDPR and other privacy laws
  • By using Letterbox you agree to this Privacy Policy
What data do we store
  • We store your email address, password and IP address
  • Our billing provider Braintree stores your payment details
  • If enabled, our archive service stores your messages
Cookies
  • Letterbox stores an encrypted cookie in your computer's browser
  • This token contains your email address but no other personal information
Price and membeship changes
  • We reserve the right to change the price and membership terms at any time
  • We will notify you of any price changes by email and by posting the new price on this page
  • Price changes will take effect at least 6 months after we notify you

  • We reserve the right to correct spelling of the terms and make text clearer without notifications
