Docs: Custom form reference

  • A form is generated with a random reference.
  • You can change the reference to something more meaningful.
  • So that the link to the form is more memorable.
  • Custom form reference is a premium feature.
Form reference restrictions
  • Not available for the Free and Starter membership tiers.
  • Currently only enabled for Pro membership tiers.
  • It must be unique, and related to the account holder.
  • The chosen reference will be checked for suitability.
  • As the reference will be used in URLs the reference must be URL safe.
  • Alphanumric characters, full-stop/period, dash/hyphen and underscores are allowed.
Example form references
  • These if unique and related to the account are acceptable references
  • Domain names
    • example.com ➠ ltrbx.io/example.com
    • letterbox.tech ➠ ltrbx.io/letterbox.tech
  • Some are domain sub folders but note no slashes /
    • example.org-contact
    • example.com-customer-service
    • example.com-texas_austin
  • Some can be campaigns
    • example.com-summer-sale
    • example.com-world-cup
  • Some however can be anything if approved unique enough
    • some-town-big-event ➠ ltrbx.io/some-town-big-event
    • famous-charity ➠ ltrbx.io/famous-charity
Bad examples
  • These will not be accepted
  • Containing slashes or other characters
    • example.com/contact
    • example.org-annual_report(2025)
  • Containing non URL accepted A-Z characters
    • example.com-接触
    • example.no-årsrapport
  • Not unique enough
    • myform
    • annualparty
    • contact
  • Not related to the account
    • competitor.com-contact
    • famousdrinkscompany.com
    • gmail.com
